About the Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library meet regularly the third Friday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to noon unless notified otherwise. The purpose of the Friends group is to support the library by raising funds for special programming, or to purchase items for the library. Some of the items the Friends have purchased for the library include:
     A defibrillator

New computers to replace old ones

     Flat screen monitors

     Meeting room tables

Manipulative toys for the children's department

A puppet stage and Puppets Story Time programs

     A printer
Funds for these items come from membership fees, book sales, a Holiday Basket Silent Auction which takes place at the library during November and December, and other projects.
