What you Are Saying...

The following comments were sent in during our November 2007 mail survey. We thought you’d like to see what others were saying and provide answers to some of your questions. Thank you for taking the time to comment about the Huntley Area Public Library.

“I absolutely love the location of the library because my daughter and I can walk to it. The walking paths leading to the library are very nice. However, we are usually disappointed with the book selection and we are both avid readers. We would rather drive to another library or book store to find books. It is disappointing. I look forward to the recommendations of this survey. I would also like to see more educational PC games for children to check out. Thank you for the opportunity to take this survey. I enjoy living in Huntley and think the library is the first thing I'd like to have improved in the community.”

“A library is a critical part of the education of our children. Having a less than excellent library is directly affecting the education level. We need our library up to speed or we will have a whole generation of "low test scores" in our school district.”

“Due to the growth in the last 10 yrs, the library needs to grow also. The amount of adult books, ref. materials and service greatly needs improvement. Use the land around the library and build a much larger building. I hate going to a different town to find books and materials. Programs also should only be held at the library and not off-site if book related.”

I think it is imperative that the library add additional space in the not too distant future so that further services do not have to be eliminated.
