Library Offers Free Music Downloads

The Huntley Area Public Library now offers a free, downloadable music service providing residents with access to songs from Sony Music’s catalog of artists. The Freegal Music Service allows the library to increase the size and diversity of its collection by offering access to hundreds of thousands of songs. The best part, after downloading, users can keep the music.

Under the terms of the service, Huntley Library cardholders can download and keep three free Sony Music tracks in MP3 format each week via the library’s website www.huntleylibrary.org.

“We’re excited to be able to offer residents a service that delivers great music and simplicity of use”, said Library Director, Patrick McDonald. “We think this will be incredibly popular with our patrons.”
