Find Items at Other Libraries

The library is a member of Cooperative Computer Services (CCS), and the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC).

CCS

CCS is a consortium of 24 public libraries in the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago that share the same automation system.

From the Huntley Area Public Library’s catalog, check the box next to the words "Search All Libraries" under the search area.

Contact the library’s Information Desk at 847-669-5386 ext. 21 if you need help to have library materials transferred to the Huntley Area Public Library on interlibrary loan. Some materials, such as reference books, may not be eligible for transfer.

OCLC

OCLC is a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization. Libraries cooperatively maintain the Illinois Catalog and WorldCat, which list the holdings of libraries in Illinois and throughout the country.

If you do not find the library materials you need in CCS, you may try searching the Illinois Catalog and WorldCat using the OCLC FirstSearch Service. This service includes access to 14 databases, including the Illinois Catalog and WorldCat, as well as periodical databases.

Huntley Library cardholders may call the library’s Information Desk at 847-669-5386 ext. 21 to receive a password to access this service from home.
