This was a good read because it was so real. It was very sad, but also very uplifting. Heidi It lives in a small apartment with her mother, So B. It, and their friend, Bernie. However, Heidi soon becomes curious about her origins. She sets out on a quest to find her family and discovers more than she could ever imagine.

This book is about a girl whose mom is mentally disabled and she practically lives with her neighbor. It’s about her quest to find out about her and her mom’s history. The main character is Heidi. She’s about 13 and very curious. She never went to school. Heidi’s mom’s name is So B. It (but her real name is Sophia). She’s mentally disabled, suffers headaches, and can only say 23 words. Bernie is Heidi’s neighbor. She helps them out a lot. She’s very nice. I thought this book was very good. But it might bore some people. People who like mysteries will like this story.

* * * * * Stars (Amazing!)
I thought the book was amazing! I loved it so much I read it in two days. All this wonderful girl wants to do is learn about her past and her mother’s. Her mom can only say 23 things and doesn’t know much. One of the few things she says is “soof.” No one knows exactly what it means. Heidi will go on a train ride all by herself for days to try and uncover the mysteries that await her. It will mean she will leave her neighbor who won’t leave the house to watch So B. It, her mother. I loved all the ups and downs and twists and turns that filled the book on every page. The book is amazing!
