What’s all the hoopla at the Huntley Area Public Library?

hoopla offers digital streaming and downloads of eBooks, audiobooks, comic books, movies, television shows and music to Huntley Area Public Library patrons at no cost.

Huntley, IL – November 18, 2015 – The Huntley Area Public Library announced today the availability of thousands of ebooks, comic books, movies, television shows, music albums and audiobooks for mobile and online access through a new partnership with hoopla digital (hoopladigital.com).

Huntley Area Public Library patrons can enjoy thousands of titles available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers. Cardholders will find today’s top stars including Sam Smith, Demi Lovato, and Imagine Dragons mixed with icons such as Rod Stewart, KISS, Prince and Mariah Carey in the music department. Rock, Jazz, Hip Hop, Rap, Country, Soundtracks and more are all part of the hoopla collection.

Comic book fans will love the extensive library of DC, Valiant, Image, Dark Horse, Titan and BOOM! Studios comic books. Choose from sizzling titles including the Walking Dead, Batman, Garfield, Minions, X-O Manowar, Flash, Doctor Who, Invincible, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and several other exciting characters.

There are also eBooks and audiobooks for all ages, by top authors. Kids will love the Disney selections from Alice in Wonderland to Star Wars. Search for your favorite authors or by genres including cook books, romance, self-help, biographies, business, computers, drama, fiction, gaming guides, history and more.

Movies and TV are also available to stream or watch offline when downloaded. You’ll find everything from award winners to film festival favorites. Discover a selection of foreign films from France and China, as well as Spanish and Hindi language movies. Westerns, comedies, documentaries are all part of the hoopla family.

hoopla digital is offered at no cost to patrons via browser, Android and IOS and requires only a Huntley Area Public Library card to access. The library will be closed on Sunday, March 31 for the Easter Holiday. Book drops will also be closed beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.
The library will reopen on Monday, April 1 at 9:00 a.m.
