The newest (and final, according to our sources) Maximum Ride book is out! We celebrated with a Maximum Ride event that tested our “bird kid” attendees’ physical and mental skills. After a brief warmup, our flock honed their dexterity, reflexes, and hand-to-eye coordination. Rebecca Huston, henna and tattoo artist from Heathen Ink (Summit, IL), returned to the Huntley Library in July 2012 to share the history of henna body art with area teens. All participants went home with a temporary henna tattoo (lasting around 2 – 4 weeks), and information about how to create henna art of their own!
