Awkward by Svetlana Chmakova Graphic Novel Realistic Fiction Review #1 * * * * Stars (Great!) “Awkward” is a very funny and enjoyable book. It is based on things that could happen in real life if you are or aren’t nice to people. Svetlana Chmakova also wrote two other books just like “Awkward” called “Brave” and “Crush.”

El Deafo by Cece Bell Graphic Novel Realistic Fiction Review #1 * * * * Stars (Great!) I liked “El Deafo” because the character is nice, funny, and smart. “El Deafo” is a Newbery Honor book. R.J. Palacio, the author of “Wonder” put a quote on the cover of the book. She said, “I love El Deafo! It’s everything you could want in a book. Funny and touching and oh so smart.”

The Wild Robot by Peter Brown Fantasy Science Fiction Review #1 * * * * Stars (Great!) I liked this book a lot. When a ship crashes and only 1 robot “Roz” is left on an island, everyone thinks he’s a monster until he adopts a gosling. Then he starts to have more friends. Roz is the most friendliest person on the island now. I just liked how everyone came together at the end.
