Beginning on Monday, July 20 you are welcome to visit the library! We are happy to now allow residents to browse the collection, get help locating an item, copy or fax, get a library card, and, of course, check out some great books, movies, or music to enjoy at home. Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to offer seating or newspapers to enjoy while you visit and we request that due to the pandemic, guests keep their visits to the library short and sweet. Masks are required to enter the library.
The library continues to quarantine returned materials for 3 days for everyone’s safety. We take the health of the staff and community seriously, and continue to disinfect high-touch areas throughout the day, including doors, touch screen kiosks, and service desks. We will also continue to offer Curbside Pickup by appointment for those who do not yet wish to come inside or those who are unwilling to wear a mask. As always, we continue to offer digital services for our library users.
Interlibrary Loan will begin on July 21, which will enable us to fill holds from our neighboring libraries. This is great news for our book club members, but there may be some delay in getting items from outside our library.
A limited number of computers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning on Monday, July 27, but please note that users will be limited to a maximum of one hour per day.
The library’s current hours are:
Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday – Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
For assistance with placing items on hold or general questions, please contact the library at 847-669-5386 and press 3.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
