Suspense
Thriller

Vee is used to being overshadowed by her best friend who gets starring roles in theatrical productions while Vee works on makeup and costuming behind the scenes. But when the guy she likes dares her to shine by auditioning for the reality show, Nerve, Vee decides to take a chance. All she has to do is get filmed while completing a dare. It’s not a big deal. But when she gets picked to compete on the show, the stakes quickly escalate and Vee and the other participants are put in danger for the viewing pleasure of millions. With guns possibly loaded and definitely pointed at one another in a terrifying standoff, Vee wonders if they’ll survive.  Can they escape? And how do they find and stop the people behind Nerve?

This adrenaline-laced thriller is a page-turner, but characters are somewhat 2-dimensional. Vee has terrible taste in guys and questionable judgment, but comes to her senses in the end. Tense and intense.
