Streaming movies, original programming and popular television shows available

Huntley, IL – April 13, 2016 – Get instant streaming services including Netflix, YouTube, Vudu, Crackle, PBS Kids, Smithsonian and more by connecting one of the library’s Roku 1 Streaming Players to your television or projector. Four Roku 1 devices have been added to the library’s collection and are available now for checkout.

A Roku 1 device gets streams video via a Wi-Fi connection. Patrons will need a valid Huntley Area Public Library card, a television or projector with RCA or HDMI connectors and a Wireless Internet connection to use the Roku 1.

Huntley Area Public Library Director Frank Novak noted: “We feel this is a great addition to the collection that patrons will enjoy. Roku content providers such as Crackle and Netflix are delivering outstanding original programming. Having the Roku 1 players in the collection allows patrons to try the device and make an educated decision about purchasing one in the future, or gives them access to great content without having to own the device.”

Huntley Area Public Library patrons may visit the library in person, or place a hold for the Roku 1 devices at www.huntleylibrary.org using the library’s online catalog.

The Huntley Area Public Library is located at 11000 Ruth Road, Huntley, IL. For more information, please call (847) 669-5386 or visit our website at www.huntleylibrary.org.
