HUNTLEY, IL — [November 15, 2023] — The Huntley Area Public Library Friends Foundation is thrilled to announce this year’s annual Holiday Basket Raffle, a festive fundraising extravaganza running from November 17, 2023, through December 14, 2023. This year’s raffle promises to be the most exciting yet, featuring an array of spectacular baskets filled with captivating prizes.
The Friends have carefully curated baskets that include an enticing assortment of items, ensuring there is something for everyone.
Highlights of the 2023 Holiday Baskets include:

About the Basket Raffle
There are sixteen total baskets for this year’s event! The raffle aims to not only spread holiday cheer, but equally important it raises funds in support of the Friends Foundation’s mission to enhance library services. All proceeds from the event will contribute to the Friends Foundation’s ambitious goal of raising $1,000,000.00 for the Huntley Area Public Library.
“We are excited to present an incredible array of items in our 2023 Holiday Basket Raffle. Each basket is a treasure trove of delights generously provided by members of the Friends Foundation, local businesses, and sponsors,” said Pamela Kampwerth, the library’s liaison to the Friends Foundation. “By participating in the raffle, community members not only stand a chance to win fantastic holiday baskets, they also play a crucial role in helping us achieve our fundraising goal to support the Huntley Area Public Library. All of the baskets are decorated with ribbons that feature Gnomes, or actually include a Gnome in support of the library’s Winter Reading Challenge – Everyone Read! Gnome Matter Who You Are.” The reading challenge takes place from December 1, 2023 to January 31, 2024.
Baskets are on display now at the Huntley Area Public Library. Tickets for the 2023 Holiday Basket Raffle can be purchased at the library’s Information Desk beginning November 17, 2023, or online at huntleylibraryfriends.org. The Foundation encourages early participation to ensure a chance at taking one of these extraordinary baskets GNOME while contributing to the success of the library.
