Get ready to participate in the Huntley Area Public Library’s 2022 Winter Reading Challenge – Snow Much to Do!

Beginning December 20, you will be able to register for our latest challenge. The fun begins on Monday, December 20, 2021 and the challenge runs through February 28, 2022.

If you have a Beanstack account with the Huntley Area Public Library, just log in and get ready to read on December 20, 2021. If you have not set up a Beanstack account, you may do so at anytime and explore the library’s current online reading challenges. Just visit

There will be Winter Reading Challenges for all ages, see which one is right for you:

  • Adults – 18 & Up
    Participate for chances to win one of our grand prizes—a gift card to a local business.

    • Choose either:
      • Online Reading Program: Sign up at to earn badges and grand prize tickets by reading and completing library related activities.
      • Paper Log Program: Download your paper log from the library’s website or pick one up at the Information Desk and read for grand prize tickets.
        You can prepare for the December 20 start date by picking up your reading log at the library or signing up online beginning December 13.


  • Teens – Ages 12-18
    Participate in the Teen Winter Challenge for chances to win our grand prizes – gift cards to area businesses. There are Snow Many Things you can do to complete the challenge (including reading!). Those who finish the challenge will also receive a prize.


  • Children – Ages 0-12
    Snow many spaces and services to explore at your library!

    • Register for the Winter Challenge at the Children’s Desk or at Either way, track your reading and activities for your chance to win a book, family game, or Chicago Wolves prize!

If you prefer a paper reading log, stop in to pick one up, or you may download and print them here beginning Monday, December 20, 2021.
