Tweens explored their artistic side by cutting colorful paper, then turning it into a unique paper mosaic. Enjoy the photos! Project Tween is a monthly program geared for youth between 10-14 years old at the Huntley Area Public Library.
Teens had to escape from the maze in a “Maze Runner”-themed escape room. See photos below for the room/maze prior to their triumphant escape!
Artist, Christine Thornton, returned to the library to teach a watercolor painting class on birch trees. Participants (adults and teens) created lovely, forest settings.
Teenage superheroes in training visited the library in August to test and hone their powers!
Teens learned how to make simple screen prints using inexpensive materials (embroidery hoops, interior & acrylic paint, and organza fabric). Check out their fabulous designs!
Teens had fun creating things out of Perler/fusable beads this past June.
Our popular henna event/artist is back! Rebecca Huston from Heathen Ink Tattoo returned to decorate area teens with temporary, henna tattoos. Participants also learned how to use the henna applicators to create their own designs. Photos are from our second session (we also offered a session in June of 2017).
