Test Preparation:

The library offers a number of resources to help you prepare for the ACT and SAT college entrance tests, as well as for AP (Advanced Placement) examinations.

ACT/SAT and AP test prep books are located in the library’s nonfiction collection (call #: 378.166). Most include several practice tests, answer keys, and test-taking tips to help you improve your scores.

HelpNowLogoWeb100x100HelpNow offers online practice tests and more. You can also open a live session with an online tutor for immediate assistance, or receive help via email.  (Tutors are available between 2:00 and 11:00 p.m. daily.)

To access the practice exams, you will need to create a login username/password. Once you are logged in, click on “SkillSurfer” and then select “College Entrance Exam Preparation” and then the test you would like to practice.  Click here to access HelpNow.

The library has a number of books that can help you learn more about scholarships – how to find and apply for scholarships, how to write winning application essays, and information about specific scholarships and organizations that offer them.  Find them in the library’s nonfiction collection (call #: 378.34).
