Lara Jean has had five crushes that actually mattered throughout her whole life. The things is, Lara Jean has never openly admitted her crushes, and when she has feelings that overwhelm her so much about her certain crush, she would write a letter to lock her feelings away. One day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed to her crushes. Lara’s worst nightmare. This causes all of Lara Jean’s ex-crushes to confront her about the letters.

This book was kind of in the middle of just ok and pretty good for me due to the fact that Lara Jean had absolutely no character growth in the book. I loved the chemistry between Lara and Peter Kavinsky, but something I didn’t like about them is that there was no “true” romance between them. Peter wasn’t fully over Gen and that made Lara and Peter’s relationship a half-hearted romance. I also didn’t like how there is no definitive ending to the book. I tend to like books that have a definitive ending, but that just might not be for everyone. Recommended for high school teens and adults.
