Pajamarama August 2017 Gallery

This month’s Pajamarama was the day after the eclipse, so we learned about the Sun.  We read a few books about the Sun, including, “The Sun is my Favorite Star” by Frank Asch.  Then we sang “Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun”, created our own sun with crepe paper and a cupcake liner and had a snack. Drive-In Movie with Miss Jodi & Miss Nora August 2017 Gallery

Honk! Honk!  There was a traffic jam at the library…for Miss Jodi and Miss Nora’s Drive-In movie in our program room!  Kids came to the library with empty boxes and left with their car and lots of smiles.  Drive safely! Project Tween: Paint n’ Sip (August 2017) Gallery

Animal Crackers Book Club August 2017

Our summer reading theme was superheroes, so this session of Animal Crackers Book Club focused on Teddy Roosevelt: Champion of parks and conservation.  Clubbers, ages 7-10, received a copy of “Who Was Theodore Roosevelt?” and read some of the book together. Potts and Pans Concert August 2017 Gallery

Over 150 people enjoyed Chicago’s largest steelpan band at the Cosman Theater on August 2nd.  Some kids joined the band onstage and got to try out the equipment.  Check out the fun photos!
