Emilie Hornby, a teenage high schooler, lives through a repeating time loop nightmare that occurs on Valentine’s Day. After a stressful day at school watching her boyfriend Josh cheat on her, she escapes to her grandmother’s house for some comfort and consolation. She passes out on the couch for the night, but when she wakes up, she’s back in her bed at home only to realize it’s Valentine’s Day all over again. And the next day? Another nightmare V-Day. Emilie soon realizes the is stuck in some sort of time loop that she can’t escape from. In addition to Josh’s recurring actions, Emilie can’t get away from the mysterious Nick Stark, whom she keeps running into. A surprising turn of events completely can change her love life. How many days can a girl passively watch her life get destroyed again and again? How does she escape the loop? When do the do-overs stop??? Read to find out…

I loved the interesting storyline of this book. It was exciting to see Emilie replay her life with Nick Stark. This is sure to keep a reader on the edge of their east. It never got boring and I was always surprised by the turn of events. Nick and Emilie embarked on different journeys every day, only to have everything restart the next morning. This book clearly showed Emilie’s reactions to the horrible V-Day loop. She realizes many important things about love and finally figures out why she’s stuck. Recommended for young adults who like a bit of romance. For middle and high school teens + adults.
