This is the second Harry Potter book. It is magical and imaginative. Harry goes back to Hogwarts for a second year and strange things are going on. People are being petrified and Harry must stop it. Hagrid is also in trouble. Read the book to find out what happens!

I think it would or could be a little better, but that’s OK. I think Harry Potter is good anyway, but it could be plotted differently. I think my favorite part is when Harry finds the Chamber of Secrets – he just seems so adventurous. Ron is very weird in this one, but then he finds his true self.

Ever since Harry Potter had come home for the summer, the Dursleys had been so mean and hideous that all Harry wanted was to get back to Hogwarts. But just as he’s packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature who says that if Harry returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike. And strike it does.

I absolutely love this book, just as great as the first. She is an amazing author, her style is wonderful and how she created a whole world was amazing. This book was a lot like the first and that was odd but this was still a great book!

I have already read this book before, but it still amazes me how good a writer J.K. Rowling is. Anyone who has ever read the Harry Potter books already knows the plot of this book, but I’ll go over it again. Basically, Harry goes back to Hogwarts, but there are weird attacks going on so they solve it. It’s a little bit more complicated than that, but I don’t want to spoil it for people who haven’t read it. Definitely a great fantasy adventure book for people.

“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” by J.K. Rowling follows Harry Potter when he returns for his second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At Hogwarts, mysterious messages appear on the walls, warning that the Chamber of Secrets has been opened and that the heir of Slytherin will get rid of the school of “Mudbloods.” (Mudbloods are Muggle-born witches and wizards.) As students become petrified by an unknown creature, Harry, Ron, and Hermione investigate the chamber’s history. With the help of Tom Riddle’s diary, Harry discovers that the monster is a basilisk controlled by young Voldemort. Will Harry defeat the basilisk? Will he destroy the diary? Read the book to find out!

“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” has moments of excitement, but the plot feels repetitive. The mystery of the Chamber is interesting to an extent but becomes predictable, and the characters do not have that much development. I liked the introduction of Dobby because he is such a fun and iconic character who adds humor to the story. For upper elementary and middle school readers.
