Huntley Area Public Library Receives Donation From Huntley Area Lions Club

Huntley, IL – The Huntley Area Public Library was honored to receive a donation from the Huntley Area Lions Club in the amount of $1000.00. The donation was presented to the library by Jim Saletta and Jim Graves of the Lions Club in honor of American disability rights advocate Helen Keller. Keller influenced Lions Club members to join her and continue her crusade as Knights of the Blind. Helping the visually impaired has been a cause for the group since 1925.

Lemonade for the Library

Friends Foundation Culver’s Night Recap

The HAPLD Friends Foundation gathered on April 8, 2014 for a Culver’s Night to help raise money for the Huntley Area Public Library. In conjunction with Culver’s of Huntley and the local community, the organization brought in over $600 for the evening.
