An Update About Hoopla

After careful consideration, the Huntley Area Public Library has decided to lower monthly borrows for hoopla services from 10 items per month to 5 items per month. Our limited budget cannot accommodate hoopla’s pay-per-borrow lending model at current levels . The change will take effect on July 31st.   Hoopla’s pay-per-borrow funding model is different than Libby by Overdrive or eRead Illinois Boundless. HUNTLEY, IL – Three local high school students are hosting a period product drive at the Huntley Area Public Library to help raise awareness on menstrual inequality and period poverty.
Neha Gopal, Sruthi Guda, and Krisha Sivakumar, students at Huntley High School, launched a local health campaign focused on raising awareness of period poverty and improving access to menstrual education and products.
