Collaborating with community partners is a large part of what makes Huntley an exceptional place to live. Huntley, IL – The Huntley Area Public Library was honored to receive a donation from the Huntley Area Lions Club in the amount of $1000.00. The donation was presented to the library by Jim Saletta and Jim Graves of the Lions Club in honor of American disability rights advocate Helen Keller. Keller influenced Lions Club members to join her and continue her crusade as Knights of the Blind. Helping the visually impaired has been a cause for the group since 1925.
