Fairest is the 5th book in the Lunar Chronicles series and it tells us the backstory of why Levana is so evil and how she got her throne. When I read this my thoughts about the horrible queen turned to sympathy.

If you’ve read the Lunar Chronicles, Fairest is a must-read book. It is prequel that follows Queen Levana and shows how she came to be the way that she is. The book also includes how Levana attempted to kill Princess Selene. There are many twists and turns that make you keep reading. Some other shocking things in the book explain what Levana truly looks like, where she got the idea for her glamour, and her twisted love life. Fairest is an amazing book and I definitely recommend it.
