This book is about Harry Potter and his children – Lily, James, and Albus. Albus proves to be the most difficult to raise because he thinks his dad doesn’t love him. He soon finds out differently because he and his friend Scorpius get pulled back in time and they find Albus’ grandparents. They soon realize that the date is the day his grandparents get murdered. They get a message to Harry Potter and he and his loyal friends save them and the future.

Review #2
* * Stars (Just ok)
“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is set 19 years after the events of the original series, focusing on Harry Potter’s middle child, Albus Severus Potter. Albus struggles with the pressure of living up to his father’s legacy and feels isolated at Hogwarts. He forms a friendship with Scorpius Malfoy, Draco Malfoy’s son, who is also an outcast due to rumors about his parents. Together, they use a stolen Time-Turner from Hermonie’s office to travel back in time and try to save Cedric Diggory from dying during the Triwizard Tournament. Their actions create alternate realities, each with consequences, including a world where Voldemort rules.

I liked how some of our beloved characters were brought back as adults in “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”. Some of the character developments were inconsistent with the original series. For middle school readers.
