This book is about a bunch of wizards going to Howarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is Harry’s 6th year, too. The war against Voldemort is getting bigger. So, Harry, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger have to go back in time when Voldemort was a kid to learn more about him and tons of other secrets, too!

I love this book and one reason is because of all the secrets. Some of the answers were definitely not what I thought they would be. When Harry starts excelling at potions, everyone starts getting suspicious. This is the best book series ever!

In “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” by J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts for his sixth year, discovering an old potions textbook with mysterious notes from the “Half-Blood Prince.” With the help of this book, Harry excels in potions class and learns crucial information about Voldemort’s past. Meanwhile, Dumbledore provides Harry with private lessons to dive into Voldemort’s history and uncover the secret to his immortality; Horcruxes. Who is the Half-Blood Prince? Read the book to find out.
This book is my favorite Harry Potter book in the series! The character development is exceptional, with Harry, Draco, and Snape facing moments that add layers to their characters. I liked the exploration into Voldemort’s background since it gave context on why he did his actions and insights into his character. The humor in this book is very funny and interesting. The climax leaves a lasting impression on the reader. For middle school readers.
