In honor of Huntley’s 175th Anniversary, the local history department of the Huntley Area Public Library with the collaboration of the American Legion Post #673, has filled Village Hall’s display case honoring Veterans, the American Legion and their Huntley Connection for the entire month of September.
There are four important dates in September that connect to the display:
- September 2: Formal end of World War II
- September 16: American Legion Day
- September 18: National POW/MIA Recognition Day
- September 27: Gold Star Mother’s Day
