The main plot of “The Lake House” stems off from the Maximum Ride series. A few of the characters names and roles have changed, but the overall image has not. Max and her flock are now residing with Kit and Frannie in a secluded lake house, far from any intruders. Until 1 day, all that changes. I enjoyed the novel because of the action and suspense it provided. Also, it stemmed from the Maximum Ride series, my favorite!
