Deep Down Popular is about a teenage girl, Jessie Lou, who has a crush on Conrad Parker Smith – the most popular boy in school. When Conrad gets a leg brace and Jessie Lou helps him with his books and other things, he and she become closer and closer. The main characters are Conrad, Jessie Lou, and Quentin. Other characters are Melinda, Grandpa Ferguson, and Mother. I liked this book because it’s just got everything a good reader likes in a book.
