Eleanor & Park basically was a rollercoaster of emotions. It was just an explosion of feels and the ending had me crying my brains out. The switching of point of view was very confusing, but mainly because I’d stop in the middle of an Eleanor passage and then when I went to read the book again, I thought I was in a Park passage. Eleanor & Park is a book very much for a HOPELESS ROMANTIC (like me) and I definitely enjoyed it and would recommend it. The last line of the book leaves you both with a warm, “OH MY GOD. THE FEELS,” but also a “…that’s it?” Most books I’ve encountered have a lovely “they do get a happily ever after” ending and I found this one much more interesting and even with myself leaning towards a more closed ending, the way Eleanor & Park ended was just as amazing.

Two people that can’t be more different fall in love. They are totally different. It’s so hard to explain. I loved this book because it’s a great love story that everyone should read.

Two teenage “outcasts” meet on the first day of school. Although their relationship starts out rocky, after an awkward first few days of school, it slowly blooms into something greater. They begin falling in love, but Eleanor can’t manage to tell Park. Along with that and a lot of family and school troubles, Eleanor has to move. This is hard for both of them, but in th eend we get to see how much Eleanor grows as a person. I liked how they showed the ups and downs of a relationship and how it doesn’t always end with a happy ending. It also shows how you have to work for the things you want.
