* * * * Stars (Great!)
It opens up with introducing us to a very intimidating-looking but kindhearted boy by the name of Rintaro Tsumugi. He attends Chidori High – a school for good-for-nothing boys. Next to that school is the Kikyo Girls High, which is a prestigeous school for talented ladies. There, a very kind and open-minded girl by the name of Kaoruko Waguri studies relentlessly. One day, while helping at his family’s patisserie, Rintaro sees a customer come into the patisserie, which happens to be Kaoruko. She and Rintaro talk briefly, finding each other pleasant to talk to, which sparks their friendship. However, problems arise as they realize that being friends with someone from a rival school comes with its complications.
I enjoyed the unique story it presents. It’s not like your cliche school romance story scenario, which is a nice change of pace. For middle and high school teens.
