Jamie Gray finds himself out of work when the food delivery startup he works for downsizes him during the pandemic. Fortuitously, an acquaintance offers him a job with an animal rights organization he works for – conveniently leaving out the fact that the “animals” are in fact not of this world and that he’ll need to travel to another world entirely to look after them. Jamie is up for the adventure. For the next six months he receives training, moves heavy stuff (his job description), and leads wealthy financers around (giving tours of their investment). But things take a nasty turn when one of the “animals” suddenly disappears and leaves a whole team murdered. Jamie and his colleagues must figure out who is responsible, what they’re up to, and stop them before they break the multiverse. Exciting, high stakes, sci-fi suspense with a humorous twist. Published for adults; older teens may also enjoy!
