This book follows 4 cadets who attend a military college and have to deal with the constant hazing and secretiveness of the Institute. They must band together to uncover the secrets of a group called “The Ten,” and struggle to make it to graduation. This was one of my favorite books that we had to read because of the witty main character, Will, and the riveting plot of the story.

The book follows a young cadet, Will, at the Carolina Military Institute as he struggles with the injustice that is taking place. Throughout the book he learns what friendship really is and what type of man he wants to be. I loved the style of the writing and the way the author shared and explained the flaws of the characters. I also liked the story as a whole. For high school teens.
