The Orge Queen gives Filomena’s mom a magic potion that makes her sick. To save her, Filomena and her friends Jack, Gretel, Alister, and Rosie need to find the sword of Excalibur which is in a lost city. They have to go through different tests and figure out that they are in the story of the Wizard of Oz. Will they find the sword for Filomena’s mom?
I liked this book because it had different adventures and different tests that they had to go through to save the main character’s mom. In the end, it is sad because the characters have to make a choice that splits them up. Overall, this book is fantastic. For upper elementary + middle school readers.
