This book takes place on an island off of the Carolinas with a young adult named Callie. She just lost her job as a writer and has returned home with a heavy heart. As her mom died here by jumping off the lighthouse. When returning, there is another person who ends up jumping, and while it is written off as a suicide, Callie is not so sure. With a little humor, romance, and a joyful town, this is a great summer murder mystery. I really like how the mystery kept you on your toes – there was some foresight, but not too much. It was a great read and really captured the reader in. For high school teens and adults.
