Teen Tuesdays: Henna Art – July 2012

Rebecca Huston, henna and tattoo artist from Heathen Ink (Summit, IL), returned to the Huntley Library in July 2012 to share the history of henna body art with area teens. All participants went home with a temporary henna tattoo (lasting around 2 – 4 weeks), and information about how to create henna art of their own!

Heroes of Olympus Olympics – October 2011

To celebrate the release of Rick Riordan’s new book, “Son of Neptune,” the Huntley Area Public Library invited fans of the series to participate in an Olympics event – Camp Half-Blood style! Haiku Book Reviews 2010

April was National Poetry month! We asked teens in grades 6 – 12 to get in touch with their inner poet and write a book review in the form of a haiku (5 syllables – 7 syllables – 5 syllables) for a chance to win a prize!
