This book series completely blew me away. I am currently reading the fourth book in this series, and the story, writing, and character development keep getting better and better. The story follows Celeana Sardothian, a teenage assassin, in her journey overcoming many obstacles. I don’t want to give anything away! The story is just SO INTENSE! I don’t think I’ve ever picked up the book for less than an hour at a time, it just sucked me in. READ THIS! You won’t regret it.

* * * * Stars (Great!)
This book is fast paced and very interesting. There are multiple conflicts occurring at once and the characters develop during the book. However, it’s a bit cliché with the hero starting as a no body, parents are dying, middle of a war, love triangle, gossipy semi-antagonist girl, etc. Other than that, it’s a nice read, a bit like a fantasy alternate world of the Ascendance trilogy (good series). Overall, I enjoyed it.

Celaena is given an opportunity to become the King’s Champion in order to be freed from imprisonment. She must overcome many challenges and become the last to survive each trial. I really liked each trial, but disliked how the MC was protrayed as weak at times. For older teens + adults.
