Several families in the Huntley Area community are hosting lemonade stands this week for the library’s annual Lemonade for the Library fundraiser. Library Receives Back to Books Grant

The Huntley Area Public Library has been awarded a $5,000 Back to Books Grant from the Illinois State Library.  The Back to Books program is a collection development grant offered to Illinois libraries for the acquisition of books and other materials.  The library is using these funds to purchase award-winning books for children and required summer reading texts for middle and high school students.  Watch for these new additions to the collection in time for … Read more

Frank Novak Selected to Become Director of the Library

Friends Foundation Culver’s Night Recap

The HAPLD Friends Foundation gathered on April 8, 2014 for a Culver’s Night to help raise money for the Huntley Area Public Library. In conjunction with Culver’s of Huntley and the local community, the organization brought in over $600 for the evening. During the hours of 4-8 p.m. the Friends received a percentage of sales from Culver’s.
