Red Cross Babysitting
Learn how to care for children of all ages, basic first aid and rescue breathing techniques, and other valuable babysitting skills. The $50 class fee includes a Babysitter’s Training Handbook, Emergency Reference Guide, CD ROM, and babysitting certificate. Wildlife Safari
Find the animals hiding in the library. Pick up a species checklist (with clues!) at the Information Desk and return your completed list for a chance to win an animal-themed prize. Checklists must be received by July 31, 2015. One winner will be drawn from entries received. For grades 6-12.
Senior Coffee: Balance and Fall Risk
Adrienne Martinez, PT, DPT, Adult & Child Therapy Services will present a program that covers risk factors and statistics regarding falls, screening your environment to decrease fall risk, as well as strategies to maintain and improve your balance. Registration is required and begins June 15.
Animal Training and Enrichment
Jim Ritt, Instructor, Brookfield Zoo will present a program that shows how the Zoo teaches animals to participate in their own care. Discover how ordinary items such as pumpkins become teaching tools and how you can also enrich the lives of your pets. Registration is required and begins May 27.
