Call to Order: A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Huntley Area Public Library District was held in the Huntley Conference Room at the Huntley Area Public Library District, 11000 Ruth Road, Huntley, IL 60142 on June 8, 202. President Threadgill-Smith called the meeting to order at 5:07 p.m.
President Threadgil-Smith led the pledge of Allegiance
Attendance:
Trustees Present: Linda Benigno, Sandy Domagalski, Katie Kunde, Jerry Reedy, John Schmelzer, Leslie Threadgill-Smith, and Stephanie Weil
Trustees Absent: None
Library Staff Present: None
Visitors Present: Jim Deiters and Alex Todd
Public Comments: There were no public comments.
Executive Session:
Kunde motioned; Benigno seconded for the Library Board to convene an Executive Session at 5:07 p.m. under the exception of the Open Meetings Act ILCS 120/2(c)(3) for the purpose of selecting a person to fill a public office, as defined in this Act, including a vacancy in a public office, when the public body is given power to appoint under law or ordinance, or the discipline, performance or removal of the occupant of a public office, when the public body is given power to remove the occupant under law or ordinance. Roll call votes were: Benigno-Aye, Domagalski-Aye, Kunde-Aye, Threadgill-Smith-Aye, Reedy-Aye, Schmelzer-Aye, and Weil-Aye. All Ayes. No Nays. Motion carried.
The Board conducted semifinalist interviews for Director vacancy.
Reedy Motioned; Kunde seconded to exit the Executive session. Roll call votes were: Benigno-Aye, Domagalski-Aye, Kunde-Aye, Threadgill-Smith-Aye, Reedy-Aye, Schmelzer-Aye, and Weil-Aye. All Ayes. No Nays. Motion carried.
The Board exited the Executive Session at 8:03 p.m.

Board reconvened Special Meeting at 8:03 p.m.
Board discussed the next Special Meeting will take place June 10th at 5 p.m. to continue semi-final interviews and deliberation.
Adjourn: Weil motioned; Schmelzer seconded to adjourn the meeting. All Ayes. No Nays. Motion carried.
