The Village of Huntley and the Huntley Area Public Library present We Will Never Forget, a 20-year anniversary remembrance of September 11, 2001.
In cooperation with the Huntley Fire Protection District, Huntley Police Department, Huntley American Legion Post #673, and our guest speaker Mr. Orion Samuelson, we remember…
September 11, 2021, is a day that changed the world and many of us. This online September 11 Remembrance Project is designed to share memories of that day, how it changed your life, creative works on the subject, and/or share how you commemorated or plan to commemorate the 20th anniversary of this event.
Say goodbye to the library as you have known it. We’ve emptied the existing building and moved into the addition. Phase two has begun. Here are some of the final photos of the old space that we’ll get to show you for a while as the space is now being renovated. The next time you see it, you probably won’t recognize it! We’ll see you on April 26.
The big move continues as shelving and materials are moved into the new Fiction/Nonfiction room, the YA (teen) collection is moved into its temporary area and staff move into offices. Have a look at some of the activity taking place at the library this week.
Progress. Every day, staff and partners for the construction project are moving forward to complete Phase one and get us ready for Phase 2.
While the library is closed for construction up to Monday, April 26, 2021 it is a great opportunity to provide a sneak peek at the new Children’s Area.
We cannot possibly be more excited to reopen so that you can see and experience it in person, but for now, this will have to suffice.
The construction on the addition continues to move along at a rapid pace. The building has risen up out of the ground and is really starting to take shape.
The addition’s exterior walls are in place and the roof is nearly complete. The stone wainscot is almost finished, and it is looking great.
Please read the following information carefully, as we have made changes to the Hold Pickup service available at the Huntley Area Public Library.
It is an exciting time at the Huntley Area Public Library. We are thrilled to continue our reopening procedures and look forward to gradually providing more services in the future, as the pandemic situation allows. Meanwhile, progress on the new Huntley Area Public Library continues at a rapid pace.
