Digging Deeper: Life Underground July 2019 Gallery

Teen Candy Terrariums (July 2019) Gallery

The Huntley Library partnered with Morkes Chocolates to offer candy-making classes to teens this summer (based on the summer reading theme “Dig Into Summer”). Teens created candy terrariums filled with candy mud, dirt, rocks, worms, plants, and imaginative creatures that they sculpted themselves and dipped in chocolate! Creative and delicious. Spanish Story Time July 2019 Gallery

Dinosaur Discoveries! July 2019 Gallery

T-Rexplorers joined us after hours at the Huntley library to discover clues that prove the existence of dinosaurs.  We looked into the world of dinosaur science straight from the Cretaceous Period.  Kids ages 5-12 held fossil types from numerous species and got a glimpse of what it’s like to go on a Paleontological dig.  Enjoy the photos! Animal Crackers Book Club Scrapes with Snakes July 2019 Gallery

This month for Animal Crackers Book Club, Tom Henn visited and brought Butter, an albino Burmese python.  Kids aged 7-10 joined us for an hour of fun activites, a snack and interesting discussion about snakes.  They also went home with a free book.  Enjoy the slithering photos!
